Job Description

Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to consult with the Mineral Resource Manager and Mining Manager on the support regime required to ensure stability of excavated mining areas.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
  • Clear security screening record.
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
  • Legal Appointee according to regulations of the Minerals Act and regulations of the Mine Health and Safety Act
  • At least 5 years experience in a related role, of which 2 years should have been at a supervisory leavel area as a Strata Control Officer
  • Chamber of Mines Rock Engineering Certificate

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Level 7: Bachelors Degree and Advanced Diplomas Bachelor Degree Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology

Additional Requirements

  • Advanced Rock Engineering Certificate or Mining / Engineering / Geology / Physics Degree or Diploma
