Sibanye-Stillwater seeks a qualified professional to fill the Superintendent Evaluation and MTS Reporting position under Region Services SA Office of CRO SA. The successful candidate will oversee evaluation sections, manage statistical units, and direct reporting frameworks to facilitate optimal operational productivity and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will direct evaluation and statistical workflows, systems, and teams while evaluating metric data to produce detailed reports and corrective measures. Responsibilities include resolving operational challenges, engaging in project discussions, and efficiently allocating department resources such as personnel, equipment, and materials. The role entails establishing rigorous reporting benchmarks to boost productivity, generating advanced data models for executive insights, and interpreting operational information according to established guidelines. Furthermore, the appointee will formulate corrective strategies, safeguard database integrity, execute mineral resource and metal accounting computations, and enforce Sarbanes-Oxley controls and audits. Additional duties involve halting hazardous operations, monitoring compliance, contributing to long-term and business plan forecasting, overseeing belt sampling facilities and ore reserve plans, populating administrative databases, and actively executing risk management assessments alongside mitigating controls.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a BSc in Geology, a National Diploma in Mineral Resource Management or Survey, a Certificate of Competency in Geostatistics, a Master of Engineering in Geostatistics, or a Graduate Diploma in Engineering in Geostatistics. A minimum of eight years of relevant exposure within Mineral Resources is mandatory. Candidates require robust mathematical and statistical competencies, alongside practical proficiency in database architecture, implementation, and modeling applications like PowerBI, MES, Synchromine, SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud, and advanced Excel analysis. Candidates must possess a clean security clearance, physical fitness for the specific working environment, and a valid driver’s license where applicable.
