Position Overview

Standard Bank Group is seeking a dedicated professional to offer architectural guidance concerning Huawei Cloud systems and associated technologies within Personal & Private Banking. The appointed person will shape, oversee, and mature Huawei Cloud platform features, guidelines, and organization-wide usage. Responsibilities include building cloud architecture benchmarks, future-oriented roadmaps, structural reference models, system blueprints, and oversight mechanisms to facilitate protected, expandable, robust, and compliant cloud solutions. A fundamental duty involves managing, architecting, supervising, and progressively advancing the Huawei Cloud Landing Zone while maintaining consistency with overarching enterprise architecture goals, security mandates, regulatory duties, and commercial aims.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will spearhead the creation and implementation of cloud foundations, landing zones, operating structures, platform restrictions, and cloud-focused design methodologies across the organization. Serving as a dependable counselor, the role provides structural direction and supervision for crucial technical projects, advances Huawei Cloud competencies and associated technologies, and establishes benchmarks for uniform cloud integration at magnitude. Collaborating closely with Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Engineering, Data, Risk, and Technology divisions, the specialist guarantees that Huawei Cloud offerings are deployed in a protected, well-supervised, and enduring fashion that fosters creativity, streamlined operations, and sustained commercial expansion. Individuals possessing robust AWS or Azure architecture backgrounds are welcome to apply, as competencies in cloud platforms, oversight, landing zones, and multi-cloud systems translate effectively to the Huawei environment.

Background and Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Advantageous professional accreditations comprise Huawei Certified ICT Expert (HCIE), Huawei Certified ICT Professional (HCIP), Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA) in Cloud Computing, TOGAF Certification, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), alongside AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes credentials.

Experience Requirements

Applicants need extensive senior expertise spanning enterprise, solution, or cloud architecture within large corporate settings, featuring a proven history inside financial services or heavily regulated sectors. The background must encompass designing enterprise cloud initiatives, building landing zones, platform standards, guardrails, operating models, and multi-domain roadmaps. Candidates require hands-on technical involvement implementing Huawei solutions or alternative major hyperscalers, covering infrastructure services, virtual networks, container engines, storage objects, relational databases, data lakes, and identity management. Furthermore, applicants should demonstrate a background in DevSecOps practices, infrastructure-as-code automation, container orchestration, systems leadership, stakeholder management, and architecture governance.
