Stepping into this senior leadership capacity means taking absolute accountability for all three-dimensional models and technical blueprints connected to an international portfolio of mineral extraction development ventures. Your objective is ensuring absolute alignment between digital visualisations and physical site realities, safeguarding project integrity, mitigating scheduling slippage, and eliminating costly iterations. You will establish the robust digital architecture that underpins future facility planning, construction, and ongoing operational management.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day mandate encompasses managing the central inventory containing all spatial models, blueprints, point clouds, and technical documentation across every regional facility. You will evaluate current data integrity, identify vulnerabilities, and remediate urgent deficiencies. By cross-referencing visual assets against physical surveys and ground measurements, you will reconcile operational discrepancies alongside multidisciplinary engineering personnel. This position involves scheduling spatial scanning initiatives, merging captured point clouds with core asset architectures, and executing multidisciplinary interference checks covering structural, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation domains.

You will champion operational safety, practical execution, and economic efficiency through rigorous construction planning, access evaluations, and facility integration assessments. Defining strict computer-aided design and information governance mandates ensures external partners adhere to uncompromising benchmarks. You will inspect external submissions for technical compliance, issue defect notices, and validate corrections prior to formal acceptance. Maintaining rigorous configuration control, managing operational handovers, mentoring technical drawing personnel, and collaborating closely with information technology specialists regarding software infrastructure are core components of this function.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a formal diploma or accredited certification focused on technical drafting, drawing office methodologies, or an aligned engineering discipline, or an approved equivalent accreditation. A minimum of ten years of operational background within extraction sectors, mineral processing, or heavy manufacturing environments is mandatory, with at least five years specifically dedicated to advanced three-dimensional computer-aided modelling. Applicants must demonstrate a strong history of constructing intelligent building models or virtual representation frameworks connecting physical geometry to technical metadata. Furthermore, proficiency in algorithmic drawing platforms, data-centric engineering environments, and systematic verification of external consultant deliverables is strictly required, supported by advanced competence in spatial software tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, Leica Cyclone, or Faro Scene.

Preferred Experience

Advantageous backgrounds include client-side oversight of external engineering firms and construction contractors, direct participation in brownfields capital expansion initiatives within active operations, and experience navigating multinational professional environments.
